EmployHK ("this site", employ.hk) explains in plain language what data it handles, how, and how you can clear it. This site is operated by the Arrivau team (Arrivau Pty Ltd, Australia).

In one sentence

There is no sign-up and the site does not ask for your name, phone number or similar identity details. It does run its own visit and click statistics, which store a random anonymous visitor ID in your browser, and if you use the AI assistant, what you type is processed and kept.

1. What this site does not do

• No account registration or login, and it does not ask for your name, phone number, ID card or passport number.
• No third-party advertising or social-media tracking code. Pages load only this site's own statistics script and the AI assistant script.
• It does not sell visitor data to third parties.
• This site's own scripts do not write cookies.

2. What this site processes

2.1 This site's own visit and click statistics

Every page loads this site's own statistics script (/cc/f.js). It stores a randomly generated anonymous visitor ID in your browser's local storage and replaces it after about 90 days; a session number for the current visit is cleared when you close the tab.

The script sends the following back to this site (employ.hk/cc/e): the visitor ID, the page path, the site you came from (referrer), any UTM parameters in the address, the event type (page view, or a click on an external link, a partner link or an enquiry button) and the time. It is used to see which content is useful and which links are clicked. It contains no name or email, and this site does not try to identify individuals with it.

When you click a partner link, the link carries the anonymous visitor ID and the source page so the click can be attributed to the right article.

2.2 AI assistant (Traditional Chinese and English pages)

Traditional Chinese and English pages load the AI assistant entry script (served from chat.employ.hk). The chat panel is loaded only when you press the entry button.

What you type in the chat is sent to the assistant service to produce a reply, and the conversation is kept on the service side. Please do not type ID or passport numbers, bank account details or other sensitive data. The assistant gives general information, not recruitment or immigration advice.

2.3 WeChat Work customer service (Simplified Chinese pages)

Simplified Chinese pages do not load the AI assistant script. They offer a "WeChat enquiry" button that opens WeChat Work customer service in a new tab. What you send there is handled by WeChat Work and its service staff under Tencent's terms and privacy policy. This site only records that the button was clicked (see 2.1).

2.4 Cloudflare

This site is hosted on Cloudflare. As the network provider, Cloudflare processes technical request data (IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) for security, performance and aggregated traffic statistics. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.

3. How to clear it

The anonymous visitor ID lives in your browser's local storage. Clear the site data for employ.hk in your browser settings to delete it; a new random ID is created the next time you visit. In a private or incognito window it is not kept after you close the window.

4. Partner links and third-party sites

Some articles contain partner links (for example company registration or insurance services). If you buy through one, the price does not change and this site may earn a commission; the commission does not affect the content or how sources are judged.

Articles also link to third-party sites such as the Immigration Department, the Labour Department and company websites. Once you go there, their own privacy policies apply, and this site is not responsible for them.

If the policy changes, the "last updated" line at the top will change.
